  • 1969

    APA Benefits has always been a family business. Larrry Hanks started APA in 1969 as a means to assist his clients plan and prepare for retirement.

  • 1974

    In 1974 congress passed a law called The Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). With the passsage of ERISA, APA was well positioned to guide its clients through the new opportunities created.

  • 1998

    As the company grew, the second generation entered the business and began to guide it through the ever evolving benefit administration landscape.

  • Aquisitions

    Since 1998 APA has aquired a few businesses. Custom Benefit Solutions became part of APA in 2015 and Pension Design Group became part of APA in 2017. In 2023 Wasatch Benefits became part of the APA family.
